In the middle: bronze/brass cross with two-tone enamel. Above: God the Father with two angels. The crucified one in the middle with a spear and a stem of hyssop. Below: the city wall of Jerusalem and Golgotha with the skull of Adam.
On the icon: left: Saint Martha (April 12, third Sunday of Easter, June 4) and right: Saint Longinus (October 16). Saint Martha was the older sister of Mary of Bethany (Gospel of Luke 10, 38) and Lazarus (Gospel of John 11, 20) 2. She belonged to the close circle of friends of Jesus; only of these three is - apart from John - reported that Jesus “loved them” (Gospel of John 11: 5). Saint Martha was one of the Myron-bearers.
According to legend, Saint Longinus was the name of the Roman captain of soldiers under the cross of Jesus,
who made the confession “Truly this was the Son of God” (Gospel of Matthew 27:54). Having become a Christian, he is said to have been martyred under Emperor Claudius.
